Meet the 361 Community Renewables team

Jon Gething
Chair
Founder of 361 Community Renewables. Jon has a BSc and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Leeds University. He worked in the UK Power Industry for 17 years and was CEO for the Avon Wildlife Trust for 12 years. In 2011, he helped set up Low Carbon Gordano, a Community Benefit Society in North Somerset which raised around £3m and developed 3MW of solar PV in two locations. He is a current Trustee of charity 361 Energy and a former chair.

Paul Rogers
Director
Paul is Chair and a founding member of the charity 361 Energy. He studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and has a PhD in Materials Science. He has worked in the solar industry and taught renewable energy at Petroc. He has worked for National Energy Action (NEA) since 2016, where he is a Senior Innovation and Technical Evaluation Coordinator. His work there focuses on research and trials with energy saving and renewable technologies for fuel poor households.

Rachael Hunter
Director
Rachael brings over a decade of expertise to the community energy sector, having worked in the field since 2011. She has successfully helped establish and operate six energy cooperatives, demonstrating her commitment to sustainable, community-owned energy solutions. Since 2022, Rachael has expanded her impact across the Energy4All network, supporting cooperatives in upholding the seven cooperative principles that guide ethical and democratic business practices. She currently leads the Cooperative Development Team, where she continues to champion the growth of community-owned renewable energy projects.

Martin Slocombe
Director
Martin is an experienced branding and communications specialist working at the intersection of design, sustainability, and community empowerment. Martin helps bridge the gap between local action and global challenges—amplifying initiatives in energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and community support across Devon.
He is Director of Sustainable Business Resource, a purpose-led venture dedicated to innovation and regenerative business practices, bringing together cross-sector partners—from educators and artists to farmers and marine leaders. Recent collaborations with students include Sustainability Festival events and development of The Earth Scholar Project with Petroc College.

Nicola Corrigan
Director
Nicola has over 20 years of experience in sustainability and an MSc in Environmental Management for Business. She is currently Head of Sustainability Programmes at the University of Exeter. Previously she was Operations Manager for the North Devon Biosphere. She was a founding member of 361 Energy, a former Chair and current Trustee.
